Episode 13 - Nick Griffin

Nick Griffin is our guest this week. You've seen him on "The Late Show with David Letterman" and heard him on "Bob and Tom." We talk about the differences between the New York and LA comedy scenes, the best comedy show he's ever seen, and how the economy is helping or hindering comedy club shows.

Hey Adam, - great interview with Nick Griffin. I absolutely loved his set at the Jukebox. As for the question of what comedy show I’d love to see, I think seeing an old Outlaws of Comedy show would trump almost anything. I’m a huge fan of guys like Bill Hicks, Ron Shock, Jimmy Pineapple, Sam Kinison, etc. I think that individual group of comics was unique in their intensity and in their tenacity in getting at the truth. The closest thing to it in my opinion is The Unbookables today, another group of guys I have the utmost respect for, except Travis Lipski. Guy’s a dick. I don’t know what Billi sees in him.
Anyway, thanks for another great show and I can’t wait for the Dwight Slade interview. What Dwight, Bill, and Kevin Booth started has had a huge impact on me both as a comic and a person. Also, I’ll be ordering Nick Griffin’s CD soon, and I urge everybody to check out his stand-up. You won’t be disappointed.
